Dr. Heramba B. Rajbhandary, the visionary founder of Nepal Dairy Pvt. Ltd., established the company in 1979 with a mission to revolutionize Nepal’s dairy industry. With a distinguished career spanning decades, Dr. Rajbhandary has been a pioneer in dairy development in Nepal.
Before founding Nepal Dairy, he served as the General Manager of the Dairy Development Corporation, where he played a pivotal role in establishing several dairy factories across the country, including those in Balaju, Biratnagar, Hetauda, and multiple mid-hill cheese factories. His leadership and expertise have been instrumental in shaping Nepal’s dairy sector.
Dr. Rajbhandary’s contributions extend beyond his entrepreneurial achievements. He was elected President of the Nepal Dairy Association, where he worked tirelessly to promote the interests of the dairy industry and foster its growth.
A highly accomplished academic, Dr. Rajbhandary holds an MS and a Ph.D. in Dairy Science from the University of the Philippines. His academic background, combined with his practical experience, has made him a respected figure in the field of dairy science and management.

Arniko Rajbhandary, Board of Directors
Arniko Rajbhandary joined Nepal Dairy Pvt. Ltd. in 1997, bringing with him a wealth of technical expertise and a passion for innovation. Starting his career as Chemical Engineer with the company, Mr. Rajbhandary has since become a key figure in shaping Nepal Dairy’s growth and success.
With a strong focus on dairy and bakery product processing, Mr. Rajbhandary has been instrumental in driving the development of new products and enhancing production management efforts. His commitment to quality, efficiency, and innovation has played a critical role in maintaining Nepal Dairy’s reputation as a leader in the industry.
Beyond his contributions to Nepal Dairy, Mr. Rajbhandary is a respected leader in Nepal’s business community. He has served as the President of both the Dairy Industries Association Nepal and The Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal, demonstrating his ability to lead and advocate for diverse sectors. Currently, he holds the position of President of the Nepal Ice Cream Association, where he continues to promote growth and innovation in the industry.
In addition, Mr. Rajbhandary has been elected twice as an Executive Member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), a testament to his influence and leadership in Nepal’s business landscape. Mr. J. B. Pradhan joined Nepal Dairy Pvt. Ltd. in 2003, bringing with him a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic vision. As a civil engineer by profession, Mr. Pradhan has played a pivotal role in the company’s infrastructure development, providing invaluable guidance on factory construction and design.
One of his most notable contributions is the design of Nepal Dairy’s state-of-the-art Khumaltar factory, a facility that stands as a testament to his engineering prowess and commitment to operational excellence. In addition, Mr. Pradhan has designed several of ND’s retail outlets, ensuring they are both functional and aligned with the company’s brand identity.

Residing in the United States, Mr. Rajbhandary brings a global perspective to the organization, leveraging his extensive experience working with a Fortune 500 IT company.
